When your company is a world standard that goes back to 1977 (at least) and you've developed dozens of legendary tones and pedals, you're entitled to do a little modern repackaging now and then, I think. Boss realise that many of their earlier pedal models like the Spectrum, OD-1, PH-1, Slow Gear and others are pretty much unobtainium to most of us unless we want to shell out four figures for an oldie. So they've reinvented themselves by popping these coveted models (and many others) into a familiar package which they call the PX-1. The PX-1 can load and access sixteen different models with authentic tones and controls, just like the pedals of yore. You simply upload them via Bluetooth from the Boss Effect Loader app and you're away. You'll also get stereo routing plus the familiar control, expression and MIDI facilities seen on most of the current Boss gear. The PX-1 is a lot of fun, simple to use, sounds great and will appease tweakers who like to chop and change their boards every now and then. Killer stuff from Boss, once again.
